UGG...LEE!!!!

It all started when I was at a street market in NYC and I saw this AMAZING t-shirt that so perfectly described how I felt. I found it absolutely hilarious!!! Visit his site - he is a great artist :) TOM SHARP DESIGNS

 I have always hated UGG boots - hence I never bought a pair. I never understood why someone would want to wear these oversized boots to make their feet look like a gianormous yetti... Similarity??? I think soooo DING DING DING!!!

 Doesn't matter if they make them in my favorite colors or in blinged out versions by Jimmy Choo - I still refuse to buy them! I have to say that in NYC, people either hate them and refuse to be associated (as I) or they ABSOLUTELY love them and will wear them anywhere, with anything and they stilllll think it looks hot/cute/trendy or wtv definition they have for it!

 

Now I get it - they are warm but it kills me to see people walking around with these dinged up dirty UGGS that look like they've been through a world war - cause lets face it....Suede doesn't last longer than the day you own it... ESPECIALLY if you are wearing them in snow with all the salt to damage your poor boot (not that I care for them)

Now for the first time in my entire life I have visited the site and found some hideous relatives of the UGG boot - o sheesh - take a look...Now I admit they are staying on target with trends - bright colors, animal prints, florals, color blocking, fringed, fur - but woahhhhh why do you need an UGG in the SPRING???? This is ridiculous...

[SASSY MINX] TALK - "TRENDS I HATE" NERD SPECS

Wow so nerdy specs/glasses/spectacles whatever these are seem to be making a huge statement! They are all over the red carpet, on the streets of NYC and in high end fashion shows...talk about going back to a trend from the 70's that should have been left behind along with those scary fro's and bushy mustaches!

I cannot explain how unattractive I find these things (lets not name them because they are so creepy) Ohhh and look at the Tracy Reese's colored ones in blue - EW! 

I vote these specs back into your elder's closet and leave them there forever and ever to live happily ever after in the dark dingy corner!

TOP SHOP said yes to this question but their customers said noooooooo - these 3 tops are now 50% off and stilllll expensive!!! I would never wear this but hey who am I to judge... Just have to say they tried and obviously failed...who is this Ashish person anyway? Does he call himself a designer? I could slap a couple of pictures of food and have them screen printed on a crappy t-shirt or sweat shirt tooooo and sell it for an excessive amount of money!! These are worth no more than 20$ at retail...why would the buyers from TOP SHOP think this was worth the value? I really don't think this is an image that their branding team would want people to associate them with...but who am I? Well I'm an opinionated consumer haha and apparently not the only one that disagreed with this purchase - hence they are half price!

Wow was I in shock when I came across the work of this designer...really creeped out that people are appalled by this because if nobody was interested then they would've been out of business long ago....unless they have a rich daddy financing their flavor of fun...ughhh... Then reality hit and it was like a BAD dream come true - the snow tire, moccasin, construction booty IS BACK!!!! AHHHH! WHAT IS THIS GARBAGE TREND? Its like trying to cook a recipe of disaster! I understand you love to be comfortable and you could probably trek across the entire country in these suckers but GOSH why would you want to look like shit doing it?

Getting a little off topic...maybe because I am so disgusted by those waterproof boots that I am avoiding the subject...
New Yorkers are wearing these all around..in rain, snow and in weather that it is not necessary to wear these...maybe because they think this is FASHION??? AHHHH Fashion Police where are you when I need you???? These are beyond worse than the RUBBERS I recently wrote about!!!!
They are just hideous and the funny thing is I never noticed how many people were wearing them until one person pointed them out and I expressed my undying HATE for them... after that it was like the ducks were haunting me! They were everywhere!!! AHHHH get them away!!!!! THROW THEM IN A RIVER!!! Leave the poor cute lil ducky reputation alone and stop tainting it with these hideous boots!!!

Just in case you were SOOOOO in love with these duckers, Tommy and Michael (yes I am only using the first name because I have lost all respect for them...why MICHAEL WHY!!??) took the initiative to make them just as trendy/ugly as ever with a heel!!! :D YAYYYY everyone is 100% running to get them!!!! Get them before they are sold outtttt!!! SEXYYYY!!! (ugh I just puked a little...not from the running..just from staring at this shoe too long)

Oh did I mention they come in all shapes and sizes!!???! Well just in case you didn't love the basic style enough they have been designed with fur, high boot, short boot, slip on, solid and prints and all...doesn't get any better right??? :D....barf again...o geez I cannot look at these anymore - so look below at the cute ducky :)

THE THREE F'S - Fur, Feathers and F?!

O yes I have just revealed my 2nd F word! FURRRRRR!!! (The 3rd one will be revealed tomorrow)
All about furrr, anything furrry whether its a coat, a bag or even a live pooch, FUR is hottttt right now! Literally! And what better way to stay warm in this terrible winter weather? Doesn't matter if you're against real fur, there are many beautiful pieces that are animal friendly like BEBE's Faux Fur Vest!
Fur is luscious and bold and been around for ages yet the trend has never died. This year seems to be a BIG year for fur! Check out this fashion site for Andrea Uku's page on Street Style and all the fur she's been finding! Its definitely a common piece in everybody's wardrobe! The great thing about it, is that there are so many variations of this trend and you can find it in almost any way you fancy it, whether its a HUGE fur coat or a simple trim on a collar.
Fur was commonly associated with wealthy women and men and lets not forget that it was an actual form of currency from the 1500's to 1900's. It wasn't as popular after that but was always considered a precious piece and only the richest of the rich had it...Now everyone can afford it - Darn!
By the way - I had to add in those disgusting Trapper Hats because as much as I hate it - someones loving it! HAHA

[SASSY MINX] I have never seen so many rubbers on the street until I moved to NYC! And NO I'm notttt talking about condoms! I am seeing too many rubber, rain/hunter boots - WHATEVER you want to call them...Again with the hunting gear - Referring back to my TRAPPER TREND.


I understand it's rainy sometimes and many people walk but there are so many nice, winterized or waterproof boots out there...why choose the ugly cheap looking ones? Not only do they look cheap but the high end retailers and designers are selling them BRANDED for an arm and a leg...they probably paid a big 2$ for these boots in china and are laughing their way to the bank as people rush in to buy them for hundreds of dollars (ex: Valentino for $295)


The worst part is that I cannot get away from them - I am seeing them so much that I almost bought a pair! Sickening! They have become trendy and are worn on NON- rainy days...eww..I can accept the rainy days because God knows I hate wet feet but please if there is no rain - DO NOT WEAR THEM!
When I was 10 and used to visit my aunt's farm, she would wear those big ugly rain boots to avoid stepping in cow dung and NOW you want me to wear these as a fashion statement? What is next???

Now some of these pieces are standard but the ones by Versace and Cheap Monday are pretty enticing. YES, Versace considers these to be rainboots LOL. I included the Versace ones to reference back to my "TREND ALERT" Peek-a-boo - completely useless to be considered a rain boot but at least its sexy! Cheap Monday has done a mighty fine job of designing a trendy rain boot but I can only imagine the dirt and gross stuff that would get stuck in there from slipping them on and off. Hot runway piece but not usefull...Too bad!

[Sassy Minx] As much as I am loving some of the newest trends seen all over the city - I am also seeing MANY trends that I HATE! Somehow people are eating them alive and can't get enough of them! The one I hate today are TRAPPER HATS! Yes those big furry God awful trapper hats that every man and woman insist on buying to keep warm! What happened to normal hats??? Is it hot to be walking around like your Simba? King/Queen of the jungle? (yessss I mentioned queen to be politically correct) OK, obviously they keep you warm but what is sexy with being associated to a hunter? Come here big boy (says a creepy big hairy woman) - Unless your tall thin and modelesque, this hat equals not sexy in my books and I don't care what anyone says!
Please leave your comments below if you care to explain why you so dearly love this trend! I'm up for some convincing...BUT if you hate it - PLEASE SHARE TOO! HAHA
